About

How we got started

To our long-time (and new) supporters;
Many of you will know that we have had plans for a cafe for the past two years. Covid played a huge part in stalling our plans and then we had to open our Kawana store as our warehouse and storage base…
Finally, we could go ahead with our dream!

Initially, we were going to deliver meals to the homeless with our proceeds. However, we have noticed that the homeless have many sources of help with food. We will still provide food from our care centre, however, we have made a decision to shift our focus to supporting children.

OUR MISSION

I have long felt that many local children need some magic in their lives. Now that the financial struggle to even survive on the coast has increased, it’s been very obvious that more mums are coming into our CAYAC stores, looking for pre-loved football boots, uniforms etc.

So we will have forms in the cafe and an email address for parents, friends, neighbours, children, teachers, etc, to nominate a child who has a dream.

A local child may have a dream but mum and dad can’t afford the costs associated. For example, It might be a dream to play soccer, it might be a dream to have a cool school bag, it might be a dream to visit SeaWorld, it might be a dream for a reliable laptop etc.

The cafe proceeds will grant the dreams of children 💜
We have lots of amazing surprises in store for children. We aim to give some happiness to children and to take some pressure off local parents.

It’s a wonderful place for a coffee or a milkshake and our prices will reflect our kindness 💜
